Richard John Bing, MD: a conversation with John Willis Hurst, MD

      The physician-scientist-musician-composer, Richard John Bing, is a renaissance man who has excelled in many areas of human endeavor. Listening to his music makes me see him in one light. Talking with him about medicine and reading his superb scientific work on the altered physiology of congenital heart disease, myocardial metabolism, and a myriad of other subjects permits me to see him in another light. Reading his book on the history of cardiology, I see him in still another light. In addition to all of this, he has excelled as a physician, medical teacher, and administrator.
