Excimer laser-facilitated angioplasty for undilatable coronary narrowings

Abstract 

In summary, excimer laser angioplasty is a safe and effective treatment for lesions not dilatable by balloon angioplasty alone. The lower success rates in calcified lesions suggest that these lesions should be approached with alternative therapy.
